Galvin Mfg. became Motorola in 1947, if memory serves. By the late
thirties, almost everything was branded "Motorola", but the data plate would
still say Galvin.

Hi Scott, Thanks for providing more accurate information about the Motorola
history.
So the Gavin name was likely on the BC-611 rather than the Motorola trade
mark or am I remembering wrong.
(I still have some Motorola stuff in the garage - UHF Micor, Nice cabinet
that used to have a paging system in it etc.)
