Walt Zenner retired as V.P. of R&D at Teletype in the mid-1960s.  He
had an affiliation with Peter Mero, who had been with ITT in Europe before
WW-II and in the war was the communications head of the OSS.  Mero had
been involved over the years with a Telautograph-like device, and Walt
did some work for him in that field.

Apparently Mero decided to start a teleprinter business and recruited
Walt to co-found Extel with him..  I have a transcript of a talk with
Walt about Extel that I'll try to find and send.
