[GreenKeys] m28 reperf punch block

Hi Ken - Please post what you find out to the group. I also have a reperf
sitting on the shelf with a broken pin. I haven't come across a description
of disassembly/reassembly for the punch block. I hope some of the
experienced guys will chime in on this, but I understand that often the
reperf units went back to specialized repair people rather than being
repaired in the field. The parts book even says "send the punch block back
to the factory for repair". M28 reperfs are horribly complex/compact things!

The parts drawing only shows one spring but there are actually four of
those 55063 springs attached to the 156172 rod which holds down the
retractor bail 170803 . The other ends of all four connect to the punch
slide post via the bottom projections on guide bracket 305638 (parts
drawing 6, doc page 8).

The drawings on doc pages 28-29 of 573-118-100TC may help some. Do you have
the fully-perforated or chadless version? Also see the description in
paragraphs 8.05 and 8.06. Teletype documents are, to my mind, horrible at
not coupling together the description of operation and the parts drawings.
The parts drawings are only rough guides to disassembly/reassembly because
they only show 1 instance of a part rather than all instances (and they
don't always show where the other end of a spring goes!). See above.

Good luck, please take lots of photos, and keep us informed!
