Hello test tone seekers:

I have just gotten an APP for my iPhone that is intended to help in tuning musical instruments - it’s called “Tuner Lite” (there is a non-lite version for a fee).

The thing will listen to the tone from your instrument or whatever, and determine the musical note it is nearest to, and what difference from the correct pitch exists.

ALSO: it will create a tone for the standard 440 hertz.  This can be changed up or down in 1 hertz increments for calibration purposes.  I don’t yet see how it will make other tones, but perhaps the paid-for version will.

I’m going to hook this up to my HP counter to see how accurate it is.
