Brad,

Have you tried my earlier suggestion - separating the KB and TU mechanisms,
so you can determine if the fault(s) lie within one, or both?

Try feeding the TU with a good data signal and see how it responds.
Likewise, connect the KB to a know good receiver (a PC, etc.) and see how
that responds. If you want to fix this, you need to start narrowing it down
- and this would be my first step.

For example, I have some intermittent errors in my M15. If I feed the TU
from a PC, it doesn't error - but feeding the PC from the KB does generate
the occasional error.. so it's fairly obvious where the trouble is
originating.
