[GreenKeys] teletype motor with the 'night light' on it!

Ok   got it!
 
I  figured the    incandescent  light  would  not on off on off  to  well 
at  60 Hz....

The light is to shine across the paint stripes  so  they can be viewed 
through the shutter on the tuning fork when setting the  motor speed. When it's 
done right, the strobe effect is easy to see. There  isn't much noticable 
flicker when the bulb is lit by 60 cycles, on 25 cycles  the flicker is so far 
off from the strobe speed that the only effect is the  image of the stripes 
growing brighter and dimming.  At the correct  speeed, they will stand 
still like they do on 60 cycles or  DC.

But  riddle me this.... does the incandescent   lamp  really   give a 60 hz 
 strobe  effect 
 
 so you can time this or is the  'night  light'  just to  light a tuning  
fork?
 
 
Added  question is this sitting on a  shipping  board or!?!?!?! 
 
 What  mode  TTY  should   this  be in!?
