Watch where you buy those caps from. About 2 years ago a local RS was
selling counterfeit electrolytic
caps. A friend called me one day with a radio he had restored. One of the
caps exploded, I was going
to give him a hard time about putting it in backwards. Well it wasn't, he
had bought two. He handed
me the 2nd one, there was something wrong, either some had just invented
the worlds lightest cap ..
it weighed about 1/2 what it should have. A couple minutes later I showed
him a cap within a cap,
it was the same uF but instead of 350V it was 250V. His B+ was 300V.
