[GreenKeys] Electronic components...

Fry's Electronics is probably not near you, but if you do any traveling look
to see if they are that area. They have lots of small electronic components
and test equipment, along with a good selection of computer components.
I've been to stores in LA, Chicago and Dallas.

Of course, as Jeffrey said, my go to place (living in Tulsa, OK and having
no electronics stores here) is Digikey and Mouser. If you really need
something (and are willing to pay for the expedited shipping) you can order
by 8pm CST and get the parts first thing the next morning.

Hope this helps!

PJ

Subject: [GreenKeys] Electronic components...

Hi all...

This is a little off-topic...Was wondering if you list folks cud recommend
and electronic(s) supplier of smaller components, i.e. resistor, caps, etc.
and misc hardware stuff for small projects etc...

Sadly, some time ago, the Radio Shack store in Massena, NY, closed for
good...

I had made many trips over there to obtain small components & electronic
hardware...

Surprisingly, they stocked several cabinets of components, and kept them
replenished...

Up here in Canada, Radio Shack has been gone for years now, with the
"Source" stores operated by Bell replacing them location for location...

They too, have last month, removed all components (What little they had!),
and now there are no local sources left to obtain parts...Yes, they do sell
batteries tho!

I know you guys still do a lot a scratchbuilding & breadboarding, so a
helpful hint as to where the best place(s) mite be to order via Internet...

Probably dealing in small quantities mite be an issue...

Thanks guys & have an enjoyable weekend...
