Looking pretty good... Found an isolation transformer and built a DC power supply
with enough current capability to run the punch, which works great. 

It turned out the local-loop (ie TEST) resistor was indeed behind the LINE jack
connector, and was indeed bad - there was a little spot of corrosion which broke
the winding wire. I replaced it with a modern large resistor and left the bad one
disconnected but in place. 

Anyone know why it prints a comma on FIGS-J instead of a single quote, and also
prints a comma on FIGS-N as expected? It's not using the wrong typebar- there is
just a comma in both places. I've seen pics of someone else's machine that's
also like this. 

Also, any suggestions on how to remove the keycaps and replace them in the right
orientation? 

Pleased to find the TD reads both chadded and chadless tape perfectly....
