Eric,
The REC-30 provides DC for the three loops, bias for the polar relay, if it is plugged in and power for the clutch magnet on the TD...
I would suggest that caution is used if a LARGE capacitor is used in a cobbled power supply as this may raise havoc with contacts that close the punching magnet.
The WE-323B thyratron is available but difficult to find. They should be replaced as a pair...
I run a substitute thyratron in my REC-30, FWIR 3C43??? not sure as my 19 is a bit hard to get at... To run this sub a plug-in socket adapter and a plate cap adapter were made. Still running the subs after 40 years...
What is also important is the neon voltage regulator lamp. It is also very hard to find but will last a lifetime so long as it isn't broken. The other tubes are easy to find, the filter capacitors are also industrial, never had to change mine out :)
When I got my 19 it had been heavily modified, as far as to circuitry on the table. If it is returned to stock, all connections for the lines are behind one panel in the rear.
Look behind some of the double loop access jack plates, you may find the 2500 ohm adjustable loop resistors mounted on the back of the jack plate with a threaded rod .
There is a dummy load resistor that makes up for the selector magnet when the reperforator or an auxiliary printer is NOT plugged in. This is done via extra contacts on the jacks. This resistor is also behind the jacks...
Note the REC-30 can run all three lines, the punch closed, selector magnet closed and the bias for the polar relay and still have current to spare. The thyratrons will be bright blue!
There is a thermal relay that holds off plate current until the thyratron are well heated...
I set up a castor base with a screened grate for foot rests. I have an oak parquet floor so I chose soft double wide castors, tried single hard castors, moved the 19 a foot and the castors permanently crushed the oak flooring !!!.

I picked this machine up on Saturday... It's in pretty good shape. The
rectifier has one bad 323B tube, but the table wiring is set up to bypass
the REC30 anyway - apparently it wasn't working for the previous owner
either.
Took some poring over the wiring diagrams for the table setup to figure
out how to get local loop working until I realized the local loop current
limiting resistor was open or gone or otherwise MIA (never could find it).
Still need to cobble together a 120VDC power supply for the punch magnet
though it sorta kinda works with a giant capacitor across the bench supply :)
Printer prints fine.. very very occasional character errors I'm still
looking into... TD works perfectly.. Keyboard works 100% but has some
cosmetic keycap issues (how do you remove/replace them straight?) so all
in all it's a very healthy machine, and loud :)
