Media mail (under current USPS guidelines) must be
educational and can not be a computer or digital drive (hard
disk, thumb drive, etc.). So write on the tape (end that
can be easily written and read) "For educational use
only". When sending just note that it contains media for
educational use. If pressed for details - note that it's
used to demonstrate (teach about) vintage communications
technology. Education is one of the basics used to qualify
for 501 C3 tax exempt status - so needless to say - anyone
involved with a museum, public service (to including
educating the public about the service and how it works),
etc. always looks for opportunities to promote and perform
the educational function. So be it with providing supplies
to do so.

best regards...
