[GreenKeys] Using Media mail for perforator tape

Has anyone tried sending perf tape via Media Mail?  According to theUSPS guidelines, any computer read tape would qualify which suggeststhat tape for producing data is a close fit.
I asked this at the postal counter today and got a blank stare but noresponse.
