[GreenKeys] M-28 TD issues

Hi all,
 
I finally got my Model 28 TD lubricated properly this weekend, and have taken it for a test drive. It works (mechanically) perfectly, with no obnoxious noise or glitches. Tape feeds perfectally, and the tape control lever works fine. 
 
Here is the issue.
 
I looped it together with my ASR 28 and my M-15. I ran a tape through it and all that was transmitted was gibberish. The gibberish was the same on both printers. The tape I used I personall punched on my ASR 28. It was a series of FOXES and RYs. It worked and printed perfectally on both the 15 and the 28, and when I transmitted it from the 28 to the 15, it printed perfectly. But when I transmit it from the TD, it is gibberish.
 
Could it be that the M-28 TD has a different speed gear in it? How would I tell? 
 
Any advice or wisdom on this would be most welcome.
