[GreenKeys] Identifying Lenkurt Equipment

Greetings: This is a tad OT, but you guys know more about telephony and 
wire communictions then I ever will, especially history.  I acquired two 
  aluminum boxes (19x7x7 inches) which caught my eye as potential 
project enclosures.  They consist of an aluminum base plate with a slip 
on cover that has rather unique latches on each end of the top.  Inside 
are a number of filters, af xformers and large mike bathtub caps.  Top 
is labeled "Lenkurt 23 #10 Terminal".  What have I got and what was it 
used for?  Any particular current use for the internal components?
