I used the 4007s cuz I had a bag of them on hand... also used 400 volt
bridges (3, 5, and 8 amp at different times, though 200 volt units will
probably not die right away too) with success... since I am scanning coupla
TTY Corp power supply diagrams for people I will include a breif description
of subbing silicon diodes for the selenium (snip, remove, bend leads,
solder, snip excess leads ??  yea, I know, identifying which selenium stack
lead is which take a little time!)...

BTW, for those of you who are eco-conscious, hope you saw the horrible
results of selenium toxicity at the Kesterson preserve near Mendota, CA, as
reported by the various media some years ago...
