Of all things, my mil spec connector on the rear of my AN/UGC 74B has 
failed!!  What you say.

My tower took a monsterous lightning hit severeal weeks ago.  Even though 
the double pole disconnect switch to the rig AC was open, an apparent path 
took some of the hit to the 74B.  It popped the circuit breaker at the 
circuit box when AC was later applied.

There was "residual" resistance on the AC plug even with the 74B's power 
switch off.  Turns out, there appears to be a carbon path inside the mil 
connector on the rear of the TTY.  With all the wiring isolated from the 
connector, resistance remains.  Gotta order a new connector from Bill Perry.

This has been a "first" for me.
