Greenkeyers,

The Enola Gay may have had a teletype on board, but I think it did not.

I just got back from a 3 hour ride on the only B-24 that is flying - owned and
toured by the Collins Foundation. See:
http://www.collingsfoundation.org/ for pictures and history.
A friend at work is a strong supporter of their aircraft and was able to invite
me as guest on the trip between display airports (Gaithersburg MD to Lousville
KY).

The thing did have a some of the original radio equipment aboard: One BC-375,
and the accompanyong LF tuner. No receivers were installed. Normally a BC-348
and a set of command receivers would be there. The command receivers I have
need work now to run right, but one BC-348 here is in fine running condition.

They did have modern Comm and Nav radios, and a quite fancy "glass cockpit"
thing that seemed to do everything for navigation, gyro display, and
communications.

The four 1820 Wright engines (made by someone else under license) turned happily
for the whole flight and got us to our destination just fine.
