Merry Christmas to all who have been so helpful.
1. Can you put a TD, keyboard and printer in series with the TU and transmit,
or does the keyboard have to be separate from the TD and printer to transmit?
If you want to use the TD, must it transmit separately? I am searching for
a setup plan to use all this new hardware, the 14 and the 19 set. Let me put
it another way. Does each component, TD, keyboard and printer have to be
hooked to the loop and the TU exclusively? I think I need a "plug and play"
diagram.
2. Can I transmit and print my transmission at the same time? I know this
sounds like the same question.
3. Here is a new one. When a glass screen communicates with a mechanical,
why do the mechanicals like it if the glass screens turn off their deedle?
4. Why use crystals? Don't new radios stay on frequency? My old Heathkit
seems to do OK when it warms up. When I use MMTTY as a learning tool, I notice
that it changes frequency to follow the signal as it changes. Does this not
upset the little rock crystal? Just wondering.
If someone has already looped a 14 and a 19 and a loop and a TU together, I
sure would appreciate a simple drawing of the plan.
Must run; I can hear rain deer on the roof.
Merry Christmas to all.
And to all a good night.
Jan on the full moon desert!
