[FoxHunt] df questions

I've always wanted to get into df'ing, but no one I know of in my area does
it.  City government wanted to track someone illegally tx'ing on their freqs
and were told no one could help them.  I'd like to learn and enjoy the sport
as well as be of help when called upon.

 

My question has been how do you tune the equipment to track the target freq?
I don't fully understand the operation and have not seen it done.
