I've used the Doppler on mobile hunts where the radio was outputting 50W in a crowded parking lot. The Doppler pointed at the car as I drove past it. I've also used a "Doppler hat" for on-foot hunts and you can walk up and touch the fox, without getting bad bearings. Close-in is where the Doppler shines.
