[FoxHunt] Suggestions for a Scanner for RDF?

Hi, You should take a look at the scanners offered by Icom, Alinco,
Vertex, and AOR. My favorites are my AOR AR8000 handheld, and IC-R100 for
mobile. The AR8K has a fully backlit keypad, large bargraph smeter, and
runs on 4x AA batteries. You might also add, that right next to the CHs
w/ 121.5 and 243, you set CHs for 486.0(1215 x 4) and 850.5(121.5 x 7).
Along w/ one for 406.025; new gen EPIRBs/ELTs. For the antenna, I
continue to be amazed by the Arrow 3 el yagi; Being able to easily swap
between horizontal and vertical puts the standard LPer to SHAME.. This
past summer we had great success in using the Arrow w/ the LPer reciever
to DF an EPIRB that turned out to be onboard a US Coast Guard Cutter. If
