According to the manual, inside the front cover, the 11 meter position is
receive only. I would ASSUME that if you wish to activate the transmit
function, you will have to make a circuit change. However, by looking at
the schematic, I can't see anything that is specifically prohibiting
transmit on this bandswitch position. I do see that the 11 meter
position is common with the 10 meter adjustments for most of the
bandswitch positions. This might be part of the problem, in that moving
to 12 meters puts the frequency of operation is closer to 15 meters than
10. There might be a mod to change the bandswitch wiring to place the 11
meter position with the 15 meter position instead of the 10 meter
positions. You just might not be able to get enough drive with the 10
meter coils/capacitors.
