Here is a neat little setup for someone who wants to
drive larger speakers than what is normally furnished
with a PC.
Amplifier is made by NEC and slides into a full size bay
on your pc. It gets it's power from one of your spare
plugs off the pc power supply.
The speaker terminals, etc are on a small metal strip
that is designed to fit inside the pc and fasten where you
normally would fasten down a pc card. If no slot is open
on your computer, it works just fine just to route it
outside the computer.
If my memory serves me correctly, this puts out about
20 watts RMS per channel and has L/R speaker
connections.
It shows a little abuse from where I removed it from a
computer it was in when I sold the computer. It was
very tight and I scratched up the sides with a couple of
screwdrivers. Once it is installed, you can't see the
scratches.
Has a built in graphic equalizer to tailor the sound to
your listening preferences.
I drove a pair of small ADVENTS (the old ones) with it
and it sounded fabulous.
$25.00 delivered to your door, insured.
thanks and 73
