Indian River County ACS is at Level One Alert as of 10:00 hours Thursday,
August 14, 2003.
Level One Alert: No Direct Threat At This Time�Continue Monitoring�
EVENT INFORMATION:
** RELEASE INFORMATION FROM IRCEOC**
The south county area has received nearly 2.5 inches of rain in the last
hour. Much of the rain with the approaching cell will also move into the
north county
area. Easily, an additional 3-4 inches of rain will be with this large
cell. At this time, no severe weather is identified, but heavy rain will
continue throughout the morning. Localized street flooding is occurring in
many parts of the county, but no roads have been closed. All residents
should remain indoors and avoid driving until the heavy rain cells end.
