The HW-9 is solid state, you're thinking about the HW-16, maybe.

The 16 is really quite a radio.

Anyway, it's not clear how to key some of these rigs.  I can understand 
relays but this solid state stuff is baffling.

I did another CW session with my Brown Bros. BTL and the accukeyer.  "A" 
and "W" are better but I still miss about one in 5 or 10 times.  Not 
good enough to take to the air.

While I can see the progress, it is frustrating.

The comments about 80 year old CW-wiz's was encouraging.  Years ago, I 
saw a 60 Minutes on an aging Ballerina.  She could hardly walk, shuffled 
along bent over but when she got on the dance floor, she moved with 
grace and precision.

I'm determined to be able to send GOOD CW with my keyer.  I remember 
building it in the 1970's.
