Henry,
1.Leave the rig on CW all day while you are doing something else, and don't
try to read it...after a while the letters will just sort of become
subconscious.
2.Try to 'switch off' that little voice in your head that is 'saying' the
letters as they come in...it is introducing a delay in the translation
process....Don't 'say' the letters-just 'feel' them silently.
Hope this makes more sense to you than it does to me :-)
