[FCARC] May Meeting Reminder

The next club meeting will be held on May 16th at the County Administration 
Building (same as the Drivers License Bureau), 152 S. Fulton St, Wauseon at 7:30pm.

This will be an important meeting to attend as it is the last one before the 
Summer Hamfest on 4th.  Please plan on attending if you are tasked with helping 
at this event.

It is also not too early to start thinking about Field Day 2016, which is June 
25-26.  We had an epic Field Day last year with the monsoon like conditions, be 
sure to plan on coming out again to see what this year holds.

Lindsay (K8LI) gave a status report on the duplexer which I will share:

    The rods in the duplexer are in excellent condition, I did find a broken
    solder connection on the reject connector on the transmit side input can.
    This definitely could cause the problem we have been seeing. It would
    desensitize the receiver. There is no need to send them in for repair at
    this point. When we sent them in last time they updated the rods to the new
    style. There is absolutely no arc marks or corrosion on the rods. I'll
    reassemble the cans and repair the connector and tune them.


Thanks for your patience while we perform service to the main site, it should be 
back up and running very soon.

VE Testing:
The club gives Testing the last Saturday of each month at the Wauson Public 
Library, contact Tom Servoss (KC8UOM) if interested, you can find his phone

Saturday morning breakfast at the Delta 109 at 9:00 AM, in downtown Delta, OH.
