[FARC] MOD Walk & Hike Across MD ops needed!

 Now that spring is almost here, we have been asked once again to
 provide communications support for two major public service events
 in the next few weeks here in Frederick County. They are:

 March Of Dimes - Sunday, April 28, 0930-1230. About 4-6 ops needed.
 Start and end at Baker Park bandshell. We will be using the 146.640- (PL 
156.7) FARC repeater.
The walk winds through Baker Park.

 And, now the biggie -
 The biennial Mountain Club of Maryland Hike Across Maryland - Saturday,
 May 4, 0530-2030. Approx. 12-14 ops needed to cover different shifts at
 10 checkpoints on the Appalachian Trail from Penn Mar to Harpers Ferry.
  Public service events such as these provide us with an excellent
 opportunity to hone our tactical communication skills similar to the
 way we would operate during a real emergency. No experience is
 necessary nor is ARES/RACES membership required, just a ham license and
 a 2M HT or portable rig. For this event we will use the 147.060+ (PL 123.0) 
MADXRA machine and associated Target system repeaters. Please contact me if
