[FARC] Field Day 2013 Plans

Hi all,

Yesterday I received a phone call from John Hart k3kwo, who is a member of
the Carroll County Amateur Radio Club, regarding the upcoming Field Day. He
wondered if we would be interested in a joint effort with them in hopes of
generating more interest. I thought that was a good idea and told him we
would discuss it at our next meeting on the 15th(tax day). He mentioned that
he has a communication pod that can be mounted on the back of a truck that
contains a complete station along with generator. He also mentioned a site,
Liberty Park, I think, on RT26, as a place they had used before but was open
to pretty much anything. At any rate a joint effort is something that could
add a little extra spark. Synergy I think it's called...

There is a campground in Cunningham Falls State Park in the William Houck
area near the Lake but the last time I was up there the campground part was
still closed. I will check again to see what it looks like.

Regards,
Ben w3zup
