[FARC] April 15th, 2013 - Monday FARC Meeting

The regularly scheduled monthly meeting of the Frederick Amateur Radio
Club will be held on Monday April 15th at the Independent Hose Company
#1 310 Baughmans Lane (near Rosemont Ave.) in Frederick, MD starting at
7:00 PM local time.

You do not need to be a member or a licensed amateur radio operator to
attend, you are welcome to come and check us out. If you’re interested
in getting your amateur radio license we can offer pointers on the
process and have several members who received their first license within
the last year.

For anyone who is already a licensed amateur and needs talk in
assistance a few members of the club typically monitor the club repeater
at 146.640 MHz (negative offset, PL tone 156.7 Hz) prior to the meeting.

Expected topics of discussion for the upcoming meeting include two
upcoming public service events, the March of Dimes walk in Frederick on
Sunday April 28th and the Hike Across Maryland on Saturday May 4th, as
well as plans for Field Day 2013 scheduled for June 22nd and 23rd.

Also expected additional topics are ideas on how to get folks involved,
and improve our social footprint.
