[FARC] Maryland Emergency Phone Net - New Frequency = 3820 kHz

The Maryland Emergency Phone Net has moved to a new frequency of 3820 =
kHz.
I just thought I wasn=92t hearing it the last few times I checked 3920!

Backup frequencies include 3920, 1920 (winter), 7243 (summer) and 28350 =
kHz
(ground wave with relays as needed).


The Maryland Emergency Phone Net (MEPN) is a section net of the American
Radio Relay League (ARRL) National Traffic System (NTS).  Its purposes =
are
to provide efficient coordinated radio communication in time of =
emergency,
to provide a means for people commonly interested in amateur radio to
associate, and to further better cooperation among its members and the
general community.

The MEPN meets every night at 6:00 PM local on 3820 kHz to pass traffic
within the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia.  Liaisons to =
nets
in the states of Delaware and West Virginia are available.  All
appropriately licensed amateur operators are invited to participate in =
MEPN
operations, even if they are not members.
