Any Linux base solution will allow remote access to maintain a node.
At this day and age I guess we can say the same for Windows.
Also as far as I know there are only 3 people in our community that
can even maintain a Fpacnode and I am one of them.
Bud, please tell me do you maintain the all the software at your site?
I see this as a problem...
Florida and France is the only place in the world that still use Fpac,
why is this?
I have ask this question before on this list,
Why would you want to use WL2K Telpac?
If there a need for sending SMTP mail then there are much better solutions.
Each Linux node that is setup on our networks could be handling it own
mail much the same as we do with ax25 mail. This has been done for over
20 years now on the Amprnet.
There really no need to be using a SMTP gateway to do this task.
Our solutions we use on our network should be simple so that anyone can
maintain them and understand how they work. These solutions should also
be compatible with the rest of the world. Currently we have isolated our self
from the rest of the US using Fpac.
Best regards, Jerry DeLong, KD4YAL
