Hi All

There have been some changes and improvements in the FPAC Packet
setup in Fort Pierce.
We now have a dos FPAC switch at the EOC. It is under the call
W4SLC-8/9 772460. It is on 145.530 for users at 1200 baud. To use the
switch connect to the node c w4slc-8 and play around when you get the prompt.

The switch has at this time ports north to Vero Beach, South to West
Palm and another port to the NEW Linux FPAC switch in Fort Pierce
also. We still have a lot of antenna work to do and also add a few
more ports.

The new Linux FPAC switch is under the call N4XEO-8/9 772467. It has
connectivity to outside the area using axip. You can get to several
different places like Paris France and also west and north Florida at
this time. To connect to the new switch connect to n4xeo-8 and this
will connect you to the node. Then play around.

You can also connect using the network from any of the switches that
are connected to it on the network at this time.
We also have a Telpac node up and running on the n4xeo system. It is
under the call of n4xeo-10 if you connect direct and also through the network.

So now I guess you need to dust off that old tnc and start seeing
what is going on with packet now. This goes for all around the state.
The end of the month the FPAC switch in Melbourne is getting a face
lift with new radios and ports being added.
Soon we hope Okeechobee will be back on the air. We are just waiting
on getting the new antennas installed.

Any questions just send me a email or better yet connect to the bbs
and leave me a message.
Enough for now.

Think about it .....
A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
A: Top-posting.
Q: What is the most annoying thing on usenet and in e-mail?
