I moved to Florida in September 1997.

I was not involved with FADCA until the BOD meeting in February 1998. I
started taking minutes at the Hamcation Meeting Feb 12, 2000. My minutes
for that meeting then show that I was asked to take over as
secretary/treasurer 'in the event the existing officer holder . . . can no
longer assume the responsibility."

For at least one, probably two years, prior to that there was not an active
secretary for the group so far as I know.

I don't have any minutes here other than those I have taken- and I've posted
all those on the FADCA website.

Old pre-bud records - are sparse here.

I have a box containing "FADCA BEACON" rag from 1984 through 1989- fairly
complete. The box also contains "Packet Radio Magazine" 12 issues for 1986
and Jan-Feb 1987 (combined) and March 1987. I also have a single sheet of
paper titled FLORIDA DIGITAL BAND PLAN" dated November 14, 1994.

I have a four-page FADCA BEACON dated Volume 1, Number 2, August 1995. It
contains FADCA Board of Directors Minutes June 3, 1995. A by-laws committee
had not yet produced an initial draft; the 'Black Hole" project was
discussed; no progress in nominations had been made; consensus suggested
following the FRC model for Directors. The BOD went into Executive session.

Then back at the BOD meeting- Walt Maxwell, W2DU, president of FRC read a
letter from FICADA suggesting that they felt they were being ignored by
FADCA. Maxwell also offered to FADCA the database program he is using for
FRC records. Al LaPeter, WB4DRF, FRC district #5 director made comments on
the 'issue' of coordination. He stated his belief that FADCA was moving in
the right direction. Immediately after the meeting Roger Edwards was
recommended to take over Frequency Coordination and was appointed by
President Joseph Kuntz WB4TEM.

In a general note on FADCA and packet networking, one of the FADCA
responsibilities is listed: "To provide a Frequency Coordinator for packet
who reports to the FRC (Florida Repeater Council.) His job is to see that
the establishment of Switches and Nodes are (sic) with the ARRL and FRC.

Donno if that helps anything or not.
