Dear Bud,
We are both talking about the same contact, kq4kx. EXCEPT one little =
minor thing....
He and I are now talking about having it over at the "SNCP" 200' tower =
up around the 150 to 180 level.
We are on a task to find out what antennas we need to have installed on =
the tower at this time
and thou a dead line has not been set, I would imagine by our next =
monthly meeting
The DIRECTOR of COMMS wants to know all the "W's" on the 200 foot tower =
and for it to be a one time
tower crew jobie.......
My thoughts.... PACKET BBS SYSTEM SERVING THE CENTRAL REGION.....
Antennas: 1 Vhf Ringo, Omni, serving Polk County
One 220/440 beam pointing north to north east at 50'
One same beam antenna at the 60' pointing to the west
One 220 pointing to the south at the 55' level to shoot =
into Highlands County
(OR JUST ONE 220 ANTENNA OMNI TO DO IT ALL AT THE 60')
Radios: 1 V and 1 220/440 High speed Radio (9600 to ?????)
HARD LINE: TBD donation would help thou....
Computer: Evans Will supply

I guess that would be me??????
I also need to take into consideration, some of the hams who do packet =
are much older then
I and to have something complicated to connect to will be a disadvantage =
more then help.
That is why I brought up the idea of using an FBB box and then =
everything else behind that
(GATEWAY) and then those who are the pros, can work through the GATEWAY =
and do
what ever.

BTW, need to figure out a Frequency for this switch/node/station.
WC4PEM is on 144.930 which is the local digipeater....
KD4EFM/BARTOW/POLK/ whatever we call it needs to be something... Any =
ideas?
