This is not clear ---------------------^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ what is this?
do you mean
that the DCD is stuck on? if so perhaps the device is using audio squelch for
the DCD and it needs to be set up for digital. If not stuck DCD can you explain
a bit more what you mean with this?

Naawww don't do that it is fixable I am sure, perhaps just some setting that
needs to be changed from a factory default. Those TNC's that had digital
DCD back then you had to either install it or turn it on. If it was
off a open squelch
would hold the TNC off. You would see a stuck DCD. As soon as you turned on
digital DCD the DCd led would go out and only turn on in the presense of data
or noise that sounded like data.

I am betting on DCD settings. Give us more input on the status indicators on the
TNC.
