 My packet set up is:
Kantronics KPC3+ TNC. It is connected to a Kenwood Tm-G707A.
The radio was just returned from Kenwood telling me it and the cable were ok. 
I have not as yet heard from Quatrains.
The problem;
With everything connected except the antenna to the radio. The TNC is turned 
on and everything is ok and it signs on like it should. As soon as I turn on 
the radio, the TNC goes into a hard Receive mode. Both the radio and the TNC 
are set to 1200 baud.
I have tried a hard reset on the TNC and nothing changes. I have tried 
changing them both to 9600 baud but that does not help.
I would like to upgrade to a Kantronics 9612 but at this point I am tempted 
to chuck the whole mess.
Until IVAN came thru everything worked fine. At that time I had a power surge 
that killed the TNC but Kantronics says it has been fixed.
I also have a new Kenwood TM-G707 that does the same thing which points me 
back to the TNC. Or can there be something else?
