Virgil- the KAM XL has a lot more to offer an individual user than the
KPC-9612 and is well worth the extra $30. However, the added value is for
HF only. I've not played with one, but from the specs, it appears you could
likely use the KAM XL in place of the KPC-9612 in my recommendations for
your switch, but there is no HF involved in the switch.
