Using a hybrid cable that I made for my K3 9 years ago....

5 pin Kenwood 'B Connector' (per the MC-50 manual) to an 8 pin DIN
connector (K2 connection).

1 - 1 AF
2 - 2 PTT
5 - 7 GND
