[Elecraft] on PSK the ALC bar setting is no longer stable -- ideas why?

They may not be using the DATA mode; many folks 
use USB for PSK31 -- but then compression can be 
an issue.

Come to think of it, it would be good to know just 
how they are set up -- which mode, which modem 
(e.g., SignaLink usb), etc.
