[Elecraft] K3 occasionally stuck in transmit with N1MM

When contesting CW, I set N1MM for software PTT. This works very well but
about every hr the radio is stuck in transmit. Hitting the button with
BAND/VOX unstucks. Any idea what it may be?
K3 is controlled by Microham StationMaster and CW is by CwKeyer. Would
prefer keying directly but then StatioMaster does not work.
