[Elecraft] K2 Encoder Question on 7415 build

Glenn,

The encoder board does come VERY close to the Control Board.  You must 
flush cut the encoder leads and flush cut the area indicated in the 
Errata sheet on the control board.  Flush means really flush, trim into 
the solder fillet.

Observe the instructions for mounting the encoder shaft. .
Make the wires as long as necessary to pass through the encoder board, 
then solder and flush cut them.

If you are still concerned about contact, some electrical tape over the 
encoder board is extra insurance, but should not be reuired if you did 
everything right.
