To supplement what Don has just said: The REV button is a
momentary-contact version of A/B. That is, instead of pressing REV for x
seconds, you can achieve the same result by tapping A/B, waiting x
seconds, and then tapping A/B to restore the initial situation. If the
VFO A display switches to the VFO B frequency only while REV is being
pressed, and goes back to its original frequency once you release the
REV button, this is the way it is supposed to work.
If, on the other hand, you are saying that after pressing and releasing
the REV button, the end result is that both VFOs have become the same
although they were different before, the most likely explanation would
be that you may have inadvertently tapped the A>B button at some time
during the process. If both VFOs contain the original VFO B frequency
when you are done, you may have touched A>B during the process of using
the REV button (e.g. by rolling your finger slightly to one side as you
press, hold or release the REV button).
