Hi,

I have no idea if this works or is even still in development, but a
quick search for "virtual com port" led me to:

http://com0com.sourceforge.net/

which includes hub4com, a way to have multiple applications access a
single serial port.

I don't have a need for this just now, so I am not brave enough to try it,
