[Elecraft] K3: is it VFO A or B

  Michael,

Maybe you are making it complicated.  With no subRX, the K3 will 
transmit and receive using VFO A unless you put it into SPLIT, and then 
you will receive on the VFO A frequency but transmit on the VFO B frequency.

If you want to exchange the frequencies in the two VFOs, tp the A/B button.
