Mine works just fine without ALC. I Don't believe the anti-liability stuff
with ALC connections from amp producers. If you have your K3 using ALC and
provide a consistent output to your amp then it isn't an issue. If you try
to run over the 1.5kw limit for Amateur operation, it is an issue.

I use similar arrangement. I follow K3 recommendation of no ALC which is
contrary to advice I received from THP. When using THP parameters I had
problems. Been ALC free 1yr plus.
