[Elecraft] K1 - Moving the range of 40 meters from 7.100 up to 7.125?

Kieth,

If you want to move only 40 meters, you must change the 40 meter crystal
on the 4 band board- you will have to find a fundamental mode crystal
that is 25 kHz higher than the one you have currently installed - most
likely a special order from a crystal manufacturer.

It is easier to move all 4 bands upward. Just spread the turns on L1 to
obtain the low frequency end point that you want.
You will likely loose 30 meter coverage unless you change the crystal to
the one normally used for the 150 kHz VFO range.

All in all, my opinion is that you would be better off installing the
150 kHz range capacitor.

You may find a bit of benefit by re-peaking the bandpass filters for the
new range, but it probably is not necessary.
