[Elecraft] K3 VFO A tension

I had a similar problem with my first K3 (sn#295). It was actually a
defective KNOB! I took the VFO B knob and put it on the VFO A shaft
to see if it was the knob or a cock-eyed encoder shaft. It was the
knob! I call to support brought some raised eyebrows ("never heard of
that before") but also a new knob.
Are you sure it's NOT the knob?

PS for the record, the big knob on my "other" K3 works fine.
