[Elecraft] K1 on 80 meter 300 KHZ ?

If you try to get 300 KHz all at one time you will find tuning rather tricky
its why many people pick the lesser bandwidth. If you can get the vfo to
tune that much you can switch some offset resistors on each side of the
tuning pot to sort of get band segments and make it less touchy. Not sure
the software would allow band edges other than those picked already, but I
suppose it might be possible to take a two band board and put 80 coils in
both parts and change one of the crystals and then mentally calculate the
actual frequency from what is displayed. A digitally synthesized rig like
the DSW-80 might be a better choice in some respects for that kind of
coverage, or of course a K-2.
