[Elecraft] K1 on 80 meter 300 KHZ ?

I have bulidt  the K2 and KX 1 , both with all options, they works vy nice,
now i have plannned  to build the K1.
As i can see in the spec, the K1 has only 150 KHZ on each band, so my 
question is:
Is there some mod. i can do, so that the K1 will cover 300 KHZ on 80 
meter , eg 3500 -3800 KHZ ?
One idea i have is to use a band module to ( 2 band ) to set up for two 
band segments on 80 meter,
but there must be better metodes to got 300 KHZ bandwith ?? or is'nt it ?
Hope someone have good tips to do it .
